(pursuant to section 223 of Local Government Act 1999)
The Proprietor of Woodside Providore has applied to make alterations to the footpath in front of Woodside Providore (69 Onkaparinga Valley Road, Woodside), for the installation of semi-permanent tables and balustrading in the outdoor dining area.

The Woodside Providore has an existing outdoor dining permit for the placement of chairs and tables on the public footpath during its operating hours.
The application for the installation of semi-permanent tables on the footpath within the current outdoor dining permit area is identified on the attached plan (attachment 1). The application is also for the installation of balustrading around the area for security of the patrons dining on the footpath (attachment 2).
The attached plans identify the location of the proposed tables and the location and height of the proposed balustrading (attachment 3).
Assessment by Council staff indicates that the installation of the proposed tables will result in the widening of accessible footpath during operation hours of the business with a minimum of 1.5 metres of accessible footpath to be maintained at all times for pedestrian traffic.
The installation of the proposed balustrading will result in the prevention of pedestrian traffic from the street onto the footpath in that location however it is noted that there are existing car parks in that location and as such pedestrian traffic is restricted if cars are parked at any time.
