Sport and Recreation Strategy

Sport, Recreation and Playgrounds in the Adelaide Hills
Council is currently reviewing its Sport and Recreation Strategy and we want to ensure that the facilities available to our communities reflect and meet needs and behaviours.

The Adelaide Hills spans a large geographic location. Click here to explore the district.

After gathering initial feedback from the community during phase one of the consultation process, we have now completed a draft strategy for feedback.

Consultation process
We want to hear from the community through two phases of consultation:

Phase 1: Online surveys (for the broader community and sporting clubs) to ascertain behaviours and needs in relation to sport and recreation activities in the Adelaide Hills. Phase 1 has been completed.

Phase 2: A draft Sport and Recreation Strategy is now available for community feedback and comment. This strategy will drive the way Council operates its parks, playgrounds and sporting facilities.

We want to hear from clubs and community members and get your comments on this draft strategy. Let us know how you'd like to see Council working with the community to deliver the actions in the strategy, as well as anything you think we may have missed. Perhaps you or your club would like to be involved in the club development opportunities or have suggestions for future workshop topics. Have your say now!

Phase 2 consultation is now closed.
