Based at Woodside, an opportunity has arisen for a recent planning graduate or cadet to gain experience and broaden their skills in a local government planning team.

In this advisory role, you will deliver excellent customer service that reflects our Service Values and Behaviours. You will have experience in a planning capacity within local or state government and possess a keen eye for detail. Your proven oral and written communication skills will enable you to provide accurate and timely information to customers. Your ability to prioritise tasks and problem solve will create a positive experience for customers. A Certificate IV in Local Government (Planning), or formal qualifications in urban and regional planning, and a good understanding of the Development Act and Regulations are required.

Based in Woodside, this position supports the provision of a responsive, customer focused records and information management service to all departments across the Adelaide Hills Council.

You will have solid experience interpreting and administering the relevant legislative and statutory requirements, including Freedom of Information. Your excellent communication skills and ability to manage your time and meet deadlines consistently will assist you to build positive working relationships across the organisation. Practical experience using information management systems and the Microsoft suite of products is essential. A Certificate III in Recordkeeping is desirable.

CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER
Two casual positions

$27.66 per hour plus 25% casual loading

Based across multiple Adelaide Hills Council customer service sites, these casual positions will provide customer service by way of telephone or service desk covering Council and library information and services.

You will have a positive and enthusiastic approach to working with people.  Your previous experience in delivering front-line customer service is essential and contact centre experience will be very highly regarded. Your availability to work across the week and cover late and weekend shifts at short notice is essential.   

As part of Council's Safe Environment for Children and other Vulnerable People requirements a current National Police Certificate (within the last 12 months) is essential. Applicants must be willing to undertake this process.

Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, you will lead and mentor the finance team, providing strategic leadership and management of Council's financial operations and strategy.

An inspiring and contemporary CA/CPA qualified leader, you will have extensive experience in strategic, financial and business planning and a demonstrated ability to deliver accounting and rating functions in a complex, highly regulated environment. Your strong communication and relationship building skills will allow you to work across departments and be an energetic and positive change agent. Critical to your success in this role will be your ability to inspire, motivate and support your people to build a team culture characterised by high quality customer service, creativity and continuous improvement.
