This new position presents a unique opportunity for an experienced and creative individual to lead the establishment and development of an arts and heritage hub at the historic former Onkaparinga Woollen Mill site in Lobethal.

The arts and heritage hub is an exciting initiative that will generate social, educational and economic outcomes for the region.   With a mix of formal and informal gallery spaces, it will provide a space for locals and visitors to enjoy professional and community based arts experiences and celebrate local history and indigenous culture. Studio spaces will offer established and emerging artists a place to create work, grow their creative business and collaborate with others. In addition, a heritage installation will showcase the stories of the former woollen mill and its workers.

You will have experience working in or with cultural facilities and be well connected in the arts and/or heritage communities. You will have good business acumen which lends itself to operating a facility and running programs sustainably. You will know how to measure and monitor the success of cultural facilities. Experience attracting grant funding is essential.

This is a prescribed position. As part of Council's Safe Environments Policy, a current child related employment screening assessment (within the last 12 months) is essential (or be willing to undertake).

Community Centre Operations Officer

(60hrs per fortnight: Mon-Fri, 8:50am - 3:20pm)

We are seeking a suitably skilled individual with a warm and enthusiastic approach to coordinate the day to day opeations of The Summit Community Centre and support the centre's Community Development Officer to achieve strategic outcomes for the community.

You will have a strong track record of working collaboratively and positively to create an inclusive and welcoming environment. Your strong administrative and organisational skills will ensure that the community centre and its program offering runs efficiently and smoothly. Your excellent interpersonal skills coupled with your ability to support a team of volunteers will be critical to your success in this role.

The Adelaide Hills Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced people leader as our Team Leader, Information Management.  This full time role is offered as a permanent position, currently based at our Woodside Office. As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the Information Management team ensuring that efficient systems and processes are in place to manage Council's records and meeting our statutory requirements. As an encouraging, supportive and effective leader you will possess excellent communication skills, have demonstrated change management experience as well as the ability to review processes ensuring they are continuously improved.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Information Management team ensuring the delivery of exceptional service
  • Representing the Information Management Team across Council as well as the broader community ensuring their needs are being met
  • Taking a leading role in the implementation of a new Information Management System across Council
  • Applying your continuous improvement skills to all processes undertaken by the team
  • Ensuring all information is correctly recorded and distributed appropriately
  • Ensuring Council's legislative requirements are met
  • Regular reporting and statistical analysis of the team's performance

To successfully undertake this position, you must possess the following;

  • Encouraging, supportive, inclusive and strong people management skills
  • Have solid demonstrated previous experience as a people leader in a diverse organisation
  • Ideally have previous experience leading Information Management teams
  • An enthusiastic approach and the ability to positively influence and motivate your team
  • General Understanding of  Council's legislative & regulatory environment
  • The ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
