Public Community Events
Community events are an important part of the fabric that makes the Adelaide Hills a great place to live and visit. Council encourages the community to develop events that meet a need, bring people together, or celebrate something great, and Council staff are available to assist with concept development, application processing, and in-kind support wherever possible.
Event organisers should familiarise themselves with Council's Festivals and Events Policy, and then download the new Festivals and Events Toolkit, which is one-stop-shop for relevant event applications and guidelines, along with an event organiser checklist and example template documents.
If you are interested in creating a new event, or if you are new to the organisation of an existing event, please contact Council's Communications and Events Officer on 08 8408 0427 to discuss your ideas and questions. This staff member can also assist you in understanding and completing the Event Application Form and any other necessary documents.
For a look at upcoming events in the region you can visit our Featured Events page.
