2018-19 Fire Danger Season brought forward

The Country Fire Service (CFS) today announced that a drier than average winter and especially warm spring has prompted them to bring the 2018-19 Fire Danger Season forward by two weeks.

The Fire Danger Season will now commence in our district on 17 November 2018.

CFS Acting Chief Officer Andrew Stark encouraged residents in the affected areas to prepare early for the fire season by cleaning up their homes now.
