Hailstorms that hit the hills late last year are now showing their effect on apples and pears rolling out across major sellers and grocers in South Australia, but the state's apple industry is urging customers not to neglect the blemished fruit.
Up to 40 growers were left facing damage to their orchards after the hail storm that hit the hills in October and the Apple and Pear Growers Association of SA is encouraging all of us to buy blemished fruit that would otherwise be headed to the bin.
