Keep South Australian vines safe

South Australia has some of the oldest winegrape vines in the world and we are proud to be free of phylloxera, an insect that can damage the root system of vines and ruin vineyards.

You can help keep this pest out of our $2.35 billion wine industry by being aware of this biosecurity risk, and staying out from amongst our SA vines. Shoes, clothing and vehicle tyres can pick up and spread harmful diseases and pests like phylloxera, so please help our wine growers by not walking amongst their vines.

For more information about vineyard biosecurity you can visit the Vinehealth website.
