Have your say on the Mt Lofty Ranges Bushfire Management Plan

The Mount Lofty Ranges Bushfire Management Area Plan is now open for public consultation. This strategic plan identifies assets at risk of bushfire and outlines the treatment measures required to mitigate bushfire risk.

The planning process was developed after recommendations from a Ministerial Review of bushfire prevention throughout South Australia to have a strategy to protect people and assets from the impact of bushfire and involve key stakeholders.

Consultation closes Friday 14 June 2016.

Open-house public meetings will be held at various locations to discuss the draft plan with CFS representatives.

The plan has been developed in consultation with Adelaide Hills Council, City of Salisbury, Town of Gawler, City of Playford, City of Onkaparinga, City of Mitcham, City of Burnside, The Barossa Council, City of Tea Tree Gully, District Council of Mt Barker, Campbelltown City Council, City of Marion, SA Water, Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, Department of Transport and Infrastructure, and the Department of Education and Child Development.
