***UPDATED 6 MARCH 2017***
Due to unforeseen difficulties installing the new sewer main and connections along Glen Stuart Road, BMD Constructions have extended the road closure for a further two weeks, until Friday 17 March.
Starfish Developments has advised that the remediation works for Stage 1 of the Woodforde Land Division (at the former Magill Training Centre site) are progressing well, with this phase expected to be completed by 31 March 2017, along Glen Stuart Road. Dust and noise control procedures are in place to minimise the impact on neighbouring properties and a water connection has now been installed on the site. BMD Constructions has been appointed as the contractor for the infrastructure and earthworks for Stage 1, and commenced construction works on Glen Stuart Road on Monday 13 February 2017. BMD Constructions are expected to be working on-site from late March until late July 2017, weather permitting.
A section of Glen Stuart Road from Edward Street to Koongarra Avenue will have both lanes closed with traffic detours in place from 13 February until 3 March 2017. At the end of this three week closure, one lane of Glen Stuart Road will be re-opened with traffic management directing vehicle movement. Both lanes are expected to re-open from late March 2017. Starfish Developments issued a communication about the detours to surrounding residents on 1 February 2017 - a copy can also be downloaded here. The contact details for BMD Constructions and a copy of the detour plan are also contained in the communication notice.
