Workshop for the Mount Lofty Ranges World Heritage Bid at Marble Hill cancelled due to severe weather

Update:
With severe weather warnings in place for the Mt Lofty Ranges on 28 and 29 September 2016, the National Heritage Listing - Central workshop scheduled for Thursday 29 September has been cancelled, with notice of a rescheduled date to be confirmed.
For more information please call (08) 8408 0400.

The bid to see the Mount Lofty Ranges listed under World Heritage classification is well underway and on 29 September 2016 residents and business owners from the Adelaide Hills Council region will have a chance to attend a workshop on the process.

This important workshop, which has seen identical versions already completed in the Barossa and McLaren Vale, will provide members of the community with an opportunity to contribute to the drafting of the national heritage listing nomination, the first stage in pursuing UNESCO world heritage listing for the region's working rural and cultural landscapes.

A presentation on the bid and a question and answer session will be followed by a cafe-style group discussion where the community can contribute their knowledge, make comments on the nomination, and raise questions of concern.

Bookings are essential, so register today.
