NDIS Local Area Coordination
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was established under the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (NDIS Act).
The NDIS moves away from the previous system of providing funding to agencies and community organisations, to give funding directly to eligible people with a disability to access the supports and services they need to live and enjoy their life. Learn more about the NDIS.
For most people, a Local Area Coordination (LAC) partner will be their main point of contact for the NDIS.
LAC partners help people with disability to connect to supports, services and local activities. They also help participants to understand the NDIS, meet with participants to create their plan and explain how to make the most of it.

Women's and Children's Health Network coordinates the MyTime Group in Aldgate is for parents and carers of children with disability, developmental delay or chronic illness. It's a place for parents and carers to unwind, share information and be updated on services that are available in their local community.
