Thanks to a Recycling Infrastructure Grant from
Green Industries SA, we are now able to offer free polystyrene recycling at the Heathfield Resource Recovery Centre.
To recycle polystyrene:
- Remove all stickers and tape
- Keep it in one piece
- Choose white, clean, and dry materials
The polystyrene will be put through a Poly Baler machine, which heats and melts the expanded foam, allowing it to be formed into a solid brick. Bricks are recycled and repurposed into new products.
