Winter Words returns to the Hills this year with a program bursting with opportunities for creative expression that warms the soul. Split into categories of Learn, Share, Perform and Kids topics, there's something for people of all levels of experience to try, practice, or enhance as part of their own literary expression.
Venues for events are located across the Adelaide Hills Council district, with opportunities to see new townships or discover local businesses, all whilst taking advantage of faciliation and discussions led by practicing artists and published authors.
Age is no barrier to participation, with activities for children as young as six, contemporary lyrical workshops for youths over ten years, and an abundance of events for adults appropriate for people started at 16 years.
This expertly curated program includes workshops offered in partnership with the JM Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice, University of Adelaide, featuring published authors Amelia Walker, Heather Taylor-Johnson and Rachael Mead, as well as participation by performance artists Crafty and Subliminial, plus much more. There is also an opportunity to join Parry Agius in coversation about the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
