The Adelaide Hills Council Libraries have had an incredible year, showing significant growth in nearly every area of service during the 2023-2024 financial year.
Community Engagement Soars
This past financial year our libraries have welcomed 200,209 visitors into our spaces which highlights the growing importance of our libraries as community hubs, where residents come to explore, learn, and connect. With our ongoing programs and events schedule we are proud to continue to be a service that fosters a love of reading, lifelong learning, and community connection.
Physical and Digital Borrowing on the Rise
Borrowing has surged in both physical and digital formats. With 443,232 physical loans, there’s been a notable increase of 32,417 loans, showing that traditional books remain a beloved resource. Digital borrowing has also seen a significant rise, with 120,084 loans—a jump of 22,377—reflecting the convenience and popularity of our digital collections.
