SALA @ The Summit opening night a resounding success
The 'SALA at The Summit' exhibition had a fantastic start at the Summit Community Centre on Friday, August 2, with nearly 200 art enthusiasts attending throughout the evening. The event celebrated local art focused on the rich biodiversity of the Adelaide Hills.
The evening was marked by an appearance from Mayor Jan-Claire Wisdom, who officially opened the exhibition. The Mayor highlighted the importance of community-driven art projects in raising awareness about our environment.
Congratulations to Ingrid Mangan for winning the Best Environmental Art Award, presented by the Hills Environment Centre, for both of her stunning pieces, ‘Pond Life’ and ‘Birds and Banksias! Both artworks captured the essence of the Adelaide Hills' natural beauty, making them crowd favorites.
Keep an ear out for the winner of the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced at the end of the exhibition.
The exhibition will run until Thursday, August 29, offering plenty of time for those who haven’t yet visited to experience the stunning showcase of local talent.
