This week, we had the pleasure of fulfilling a unique request from 12-year-old Jarvis – an adorable 'chubby crocodile'!
Utilising a vibrant green filament in our state-of-the-art Flash Forge 3D printer, we crafted this charming creature that quickly became a favorite around the office. In fact, our Digital Literacy officer Luke was so enamored with the crocodile that he printed an extra one as a heartfelt farewell gift for our beloved colleague Nicole. Nicole, you'll be dearly missed!
Print your own 3D creations
But the fun doesn't stop there – you can unleash your creativity and design your own 3D prints using software like SketchUpTM. Alternatively, explore a vast array of existing models available on websites like ThingiverseTM to find the perfect design for your project.
When it comes to printing, we offer a variety of vibrant colors including red, green, royal blue, black, white, sky blue, and yellow. With a maximum build size of 227L x 148W x 150H mm and a maximum print time of eight hours, the possibilities are virtually endless.
Want to try it yourself?
Send any 3D printing enquiries to 3Dprints@ahc.sa.gov.au. You can include ideas, questions, links to designs you're interested in or your own .STL file creations. Our staff will get back to you to discuss sizes, colours, and any potential hurdles with the printing process. Once the job is confirmed, we’ll set a time to print and contact you to collect your masterpiece. A 3D Printing Form is also available for those without email access.
