EOI: Community Bushfire Reference Group

Council is currently inviting expressions of interest from community members who have qualifications or experience in bushfire preparedness, response, and/or recovery to join the Community Bushfire Reference Group (CBRG).

The CBRG has been established by the Council's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide advice in areas such as:

  • Bushfire mitigation strategies
  • Local bushfire risks
  • Effective community preparedness approaches

Independent Members will serve as a vital link between the community and the Council by sharing insights, representing community views and providing advice on disaster risk reduction, bushfire response, and recovery strategies.

The CBRG includes up to 6 independent members and 1 Councillor. The Group may meet in person, online, or a combination of both, as needed. Consultations will occur on an ad hoc basis, whenever the CEO or their delegate seeks advice.

If you are interested in contributing to bushfire resilience in the Adelaide Hills, please submit the following:

  • A brief expression of interest outlining your relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and knowledge.
  • A copy of your resume to Miranda Hampton, Senior Community and Resilience Officer

Expression of Interest closes at 8pm, Sunday 16 March 2025.
