Fabrik: how the arts can grow stronger from tragedy
Recently, Fabrik Director Melinda Rankin was invited to speak about the importance of fostering the arts community in the Hills on the Creative Responders podcast as part of the Creative Recovery Network.
In her discussion with Scotia Monkivitch, Melinda spoke about how Fabrik found its home in the old Lobethal Woolen Mill in 2019 and the ensuing devastation of the 2020 bushfires. Emphasising the importance of the arts in the region, Melinda discusses how Fabrik played a vital role in supporting the community in recovery and how public programs and exhibitions brought the region closer together.
