Have your say on the Discussion Paper for the Greater Adelaide Regional Plan
The State Planning Commission (SPC) has released its Discussion Paper for the Greater Adelaide Regional Plan (GARP), which is now open for input from the community.
The GARP is a statutory instrument developed under the Planning and Development Infrastructure Act (2016) to provide a long-term vision for the Greater Adelaide region with a focus on land use, transport infrastructure and the public realm.
The primary aim of the Plan is to guide growth and change across Greater Adelaide with the aim to become a more livable, competitive and sustainable region.
This is the first opportunity to provide input into the GARP and feedback will help to identify the needs and wants of our communities, in addition to where and how the district and Greater Adelaide as a whole should be planning for change.
The discussion paper is open for 12 weeks of public consultation from 14 August to 6 November 2023. Council will be submitting a response to the GARP Discussion paper towards the end of the consultation period.
