Hills to host final Mt Lofty finish for Santos Tour Down Under 2023

We're excited to announce that Adelaide Hills Council is hosting the final Stage 5 finish of the Santos Tour Down Under at Mount Lofty on Sunday 22 January. The stage will start in Unley before heading for the Adelaide Hills and completing four loops through Crafers, Mount Lofty, Summertown, Uraidla, Bridgewater, Aldgate and Stirling.

"The final stage is designed to create an aggressive race, but those going for victory will also have to play a very tactical game. Anything could happen on this short and difficult stage. Mount Lofty is the big new feature – it will be climbed four times, with two of these awarded king of the mountains points" said Santos Tour Down Under Race Director Stuart O'Grady OAM.

The 2023 Santos Tour Down Under will be held from Friday 13 until Sunday 22 January 2023. Stages for the Santos Tour Down Under women's race – a new addition to the UCI Women's WorldTour – will be launched later this year.
