New vacuum truck is a game-changer for the Programmed Maintenance team.
Last month, the Council's Programmed Maintenance team was thrilled to receive their new vacuum truck.
The upgrade from their old trailer-mounted unit, which had a spoil capacity of about 1,000 liters, to the new truck-mounted model with a 2,000-liter capacity, has significantly reduced their travel time to and from the depot for disposing of waste.
Additionally, the new truck features a suction reversal function, a major improvement over the old unit. Previously, when blockages occurred, the team had to manually dismantle the hose to clear them, which was both time-consuming and labor-intensive. Now, they can efficiently handle blockages with the truck’s advanced functionality. The team is certainly excited about these upgrades!
