Santos Tour Down Under announces new mass participation ride for 25th Anniversary
In celebration of its 25th anniversary next January, the Santos Tour Down Under has introduced a brand-new mass participation ride, the Adelaide Epic Ride.
Set for Thursday, 23 January 2025, this exciting event will give amateur cyclists the opportunity to ride the same route as the world’s top professionals just hours before the efex Men's Stage 3 kicks off.
The Adelaide Epic Ride will take participants along some of South Australia’s most iconic cycling terrain, starting in Norwood and winding through the beautiful Adelaide Hills, with a thrilling finish in Uraidla.
Riders can expect a mix of fast flats and challenging climbs as they pass through scenic towns like Balhannah, Hahndorf, Lenswood, and Ashton. The highlight of the route includes the debut of the tough Knotts Hill climb, featured for the first time in the history of the Santos Tour Down Under.
Participants can choose between three distance options: a shorter 20km route, an intermediate 85km ride, or the full 120km route, which mirrors the entire efex Stage 3 course.

The Santos Tour Down Under will take place from 17 to 26 January 2025 in Adelaide and regional South Australia, featuring nine days of elite men's and women’s racing.
