Tree works on Druid Avenue in Stirling, 22nd to 31st October

Adelaide Hills Council will be doing tree works on Druid Avenue in Stirling.

When?

  • Tuesday 22nd October to Thursday 31st October 2024, between 9 am and 3 pm.

What’s happening?

  • 28 English Oak trees on both sides of the road will be pruned.
  • Two trees will be fully removed (view the map below).

Why?

  • The trees need pruning to remove dead branches hanging over parking spots and walkways for public safety.
  • The two trees being removed are in poor condition. They have had branches break in the past, have reached the end of their lifespan and are not safe for public spaces. They will be replaced in winter 2025.

Road and Parking Information

  • One lane will be closed for safety, and there will be stop/go traffic control.
  • Parking might be limited, and restrictions will be in place the day before work starts.
  • Emergency vehicles can still access the area.
  • Work will be outside of peak traffic hours to minimise disruption.
