Young driver awareness course for P and L platers
This full day course organised by Adelaide Hills Community Centres is aimed at L and P plate drivers from 16-24 years living in the Adelaide Hills Council. BYO vehicle
Driving instructors from the Australian Driving Institute will teach participants how to plan ahead, look ahead and think ahead, as well as the best way to operate a vehicle.
The course covers defensive driving theory and improves driving technique with practical exercises.
Learn about:
- Braking & steering techniques
- Safe following distance
- Understand alcohol, distraction, peer pressure, fatigue
- Accident avoidance

Participants on their Learner's license or P-plates who live, work, go to school, play sports or volunteer in the Adelaide Hills Council District are eligible for a subsidised fee of $50.
Please note:
- Participants will need to bring their own vehicle
- Learners MUST be accompanied by a supervising driver (Please ensure the L's ticket is purchased as it includes your supervisor for our catering purposes.)
- Encourage probationary drivers to be accompanied but not essential, please advise via email if you are, for our catering purposes.
