Adelaide Hills Council is organized into two Wards: the Valleys Ward with five Council Members and the Ranges Ward with seven. The Mayor, elected by the entire council area, represents the whole community. A Deputy Mayor is chosen by the Council Members.
The roles of the Mayor and Council Members are outlined in the Local Government Act 1999, which sets the framework for councils in South Australia.
Council Members are crucial in leading the community, ensuring their interests are represented, and advancing the Council’s vision and strategic goals.
