- Full Time Permanent position
We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably skilled Senior Statutory Planner to provide high level planning advice, undertake planning consent and land division assessments on a wide range of development across the Council district and to prepare planning reports. You will be able to assist with planning appeals and development compliance.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Formal qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or, equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and Regulations.
- A strong track record delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience in undertaking complex planning assessment in a local or state government role and preparing Council Assessment Panel reports.
- Well-developed communication skills and proactive attitude to build positive relationships and ensure priorities and deadlines are met.
- The ability to think logically and problem solve to create a positive customer experience.
- Experience in managing appeals in the Courts.
- The ability to mentor other team members.
