Team Member Open Space (Arboriculture) Reference #500

This role contributes to the objectives of the Open Space department by undertaking field-based arboriculture duties in a variety of work environments across the Council district. Our arboriculture team undertake a wide variety of work, ranging from roadside pruning through to works on large trees involving habitat pruning and removals using specialised techniques, along with responding to extreme weather events. Dedication to Workplace Health and Safety is a priority.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Willingness to undertake a trade qualification (minimum Certificate III) in Arboriculture or have relevant practical experience.
  • A current Medium Rigid Manual Truck License, Chainsaw Ticket, Temporary Traffic Management ticket and experience safely operating and maintaining relevant plant and equipment are all essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • A can-do attitude coupled with a positive drive for achievement

A valid National Police Certificate and Driver History Check will be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
