Notification of Event Road Closures

Listed below are upcoming temporary road closure notices for events held within the Adelaide Hills Council region.

Lobethal Pageant

The following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on the below dates and times.

Event date: Monday 23 December 2024

Closure 5:30pm – 10:00pm

  • Main Street closed between Pioneer Avenue to Woodside Road

Closure 7:30pm – 8:30pm

  • Woodside Road closed from Main Street to Ridge Road
  • Lobethal Road closed from Woodside Road to Mill Road
  • Jeffrey Street closed from Woodside Road to Onkaparinga Street
  • Onkaparinga Street closed from Jeffrey Street to Lobethal Recreation Ground

Santos Tour Down Under

Friday 17 January - Sunday 26 January 2025

The following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on the below dates and times.


Event date: Sunday 19 January 2025

Women's Stage 3 - Stirling to Stirling

Complete closure and parking restrictions from 5:00am - 7:00pm:

  • Mount Barker Road, Stirling, closed from Gould Road / Twin Street to Merrion Terrace / Johnston Street
  • Garrod Crescent closed from Mount Barker Road to a point approximately 40m north of Mount Barker Road
  • Pritchard Drive closed from Mount Barker Road to a point approximately 40m north of Mount Barker Road

Parking restrictions:

  • No parking Stirling Oval car park from 5:00am – 6:30pm
  • No parking both sides on Oakbank Street from Johnston Street to Stirling Oval entrance from 5:00am – 6:30pm
  • No parking both sides on Avenue Road from Mount Barker Road to Milan Terrace from 10:00am – 2:30pm


Event date: Tuesday 21 January 2025

Men's Stage 1 - Prospect to Gumeracha

Complete closure and parking restrictions from 6:00am – 7:00pm:

  • Albert Street from John Fisher Avenue to Randell Terrace
  • Ebenezer Place
  • Ivan Drive

Business and resident access only from 6:00am - 7:00pm:

  • Forreston Road / Randell Terrace from Albert Street to Checker Hill Road
  • Albert Street from John Fisher Avenue to Victoria Street

Parking restrictions from 6:00am - 7:00pm:

  • No parking both sides on Torrens Valley Road from Randell Terrace to a point approximately 100m east of Kenton Hill Road
  • No parking both sides on Randell Terrace from Albert Street to a point approximately 100m north of Albert Street
  • No parking in Federation Park car park
  • No parking in Torrens Valley Community Centre car park



Event date: Thursday 23 January 2025

Men's Stage 3 - Norwood to Uraidla

Complete closure and parking restrictions from 5:00am – 7:00pm:

  • Greenhill Road from Days Road to Swamp Road
  • Swamp Road from Greenhill Road to Kidney Street
  • Basket Range Road from Greenhill Road to Elborough Avenue
  • Willsmore Place

Business and resident access only from 5:00am - 7:00pm:

  • Greenhill Road from Piccadilly Road to Swamp Road
  • Greenhill Road from Days Road to Parish Hill Road
  • Basket Range Road from Elborough Avenue to Range Road
  • Swamp Road from Kidney Street to Parish Hill Road
  • Elborough Avenue

Business and resident access only from 6:15am - 7:30am:

  • Norton Summit Road from Glen Stuart Road to Lobethal Road

Parking restrictions from 5:00am - 7:00pm:

  • No parking on both sides of Greenhill Road from Collins Road to Swamp Road
  • No parking northern side on Kidney Street from Swamp Road to Days Road
  • No parking both sides on Days Road from Kidney Street to Greenhill Road
  • No parking Uraidla Primary School car park
  • No parking one side of street on Elborough Avenue



Closure times have been put in place for public safety and to allow set up and pack down of event infrastructure. Tow away zones will be installed prior to the event to ensure the road is completely clear for the race.

Detours will be in place to direct traffic, please refer to signage on the day.

The remainder of the event route will operate under ‘rolling’ road closures – SA Police will temporarily halt traffic as the race passes with the support of trained traffic marshals.
