The 2025 Santos Tour Down Under is travelling through the Hills again this January, and Adelaide Hills Council are hosting the Ziptrak® Men's Stage 1 finish in Gumeracha on Tuesday 21 January.

Ziptrak® Men's Stage 1 sees riders start in Prospect then travel east entering the Hills via Athelstone, then travelling through Millbrook, Kersbrook, Williamstown and Forreston. Riders then complete two loops through Cudlee Creek, Lobethal, Mt Torrens and Birdwood, before finishing in Gumeracha.

Gumeracha Finish

Enjoy entertainment by the finish line or visit the local community groups who will be there with fresh pressed juice and food offerings. Visit the Adelaide Hills Council marquee between 11:30am – 3:30pm at Gumeracha Oval for giveaways, seating, shade and free water. Spectators with special needs and families with very young children are welcome to contact Council to reserve a spot in the Adelaide Hills finish line marquee – just email us at events@ahc.sa.gov.au

Birdwood Live Site

Live sites are a new and exciting way to experience the race. Each live site will feature large screens strategically placed along the race route, allowing you to follow all the action as it happens and watch the race go past your location in real-time.

This family friendly live site will be located at the National Motor Museum in Birdwood where there will be a sausage sizzle and mobile DJ. Whether you're with friends, family, or cheering solo, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the thrill of the race in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Bring your picnic rug and chairs, settle in, and enjoy the excitement of the event at your own pace, and why not take the opportunity to visit the museum while you're there!
