Associations and Networks
Invest time in your business by cultivating relationships. Businesses in the Adelaide Hills have access to a range of business associations and networks that will support you to expand your business circle and grow your business. There are numerous options so it's just a matter of finding the ones that works for you and your business.
Home based business networking group
The Home Based Business Networking Group started in 2020 and hosts three Council facilitated networking events each year.
We are committed to supporting sustainable long-term economic growth through the retention of existing businesses and the attraction of new businesses to the region. The Adelaide Hills region is a recognised lifestyle destination with a higher than average number of home-based businesses.
These events are an important part of Council's commitment to Small and Home-Based businesses. Each event endeavors to provide opportunities for business owners who operate fully or partially from their own homes to meet with others in a similar situation, build networks, and connect with business support services.
Have a look at the video below, which highlights our event. You'll hear from some of the businesses who attend and why they find these events beneficial.
The Home-Based Business Networking events seek to:
- Support businesses to connect with others who may have similar needs,
- Provide a means for home-based businesses to hear about business support services available in the region, and
- Help Council understand the needs of home-based businesses in order to be able to better support them.
Each event includes a short presentation from a local business owner combined with an opportunity to then network with other home-based businesses and business support providers.
