Using the LibrariesSA app gives you access to your library anywhere, anytime. You can check what you have borrowed, request an item and so much more!

The LibrariesSA app can be downloaded through both the Apple and Google Play app stores.

  • DVDs, Blu-Rays and CDs (2 weeks)

Your items will be automatically renewed (up to two times) 3 days prior to the due date unless the items have been requested by another borrower. An email will be sent to your registered email address to advise of the new due date.

You can return items to any of our Adelaide Hills Council Libraries or any public library within South Australia. Items can also be returned afterhours via our external chutes at each of our libraries.

Found an item you would like? You can place a hold online, via the LibrariesSA app or by asking staff at any public library. We will let you know when your item is ready for pickup.

You can place a maximum of 30 holds on your card at any one time.

We can notify you for holds or overdue items via either e-mail, SMS or letter, just let us know your preference.

Book Clubs

Book clubs are a great way to meet people, read new books and come together and engage in conversation about literature.

Nominate a club member to be responsible for collecting and distributing books. This person will also be responsible for retrieving the books back from club members and ensuring that complete sets are returned to the library. Your nominated club member will need to complete a form for the book group membership. They will need personal identification with a photo and current address.

We can provide a list of available titles and supply multiple copies of books that can be collected from any of our libraries. There is a maximum of ten members per group.

Bring your club members together and make you selections for the following 12 months then submit the list and the dates required.

Prefer to join an existing book club? You may be able to join one of the following regular groups hosted at our libraries. Please note there is a maximum of ten members per book club - ask our staff for availability.
