The Adelaide Hills Picnic Gift is a professional handicapped running event open to people from the age of 11 and up. The South Australian Athletics League encourages people of all abilities to compete and be competitive with the handicapped starting system.

The event is a free, family friendly athletics carnival. Its handicapped racing format provides an inclusive event for all athletes regardless of their age or ability.

The event is vibrant and well organised by the South Australian Athletics League and team of experienced volunteer officials.
