Screen-print fabulous designs onto linen with print artist Simone Tippett

Screen-printing with Simone Tippett is part of our Handmade Christmas program at Fabrik.

In this workshop you will develop your own unique design, cut it into a paper stencil that you will use to screen-print in several colours onto white linen fabric.

Once you have your print on fabric, to complete your artwork (printmaking finishes at 3:30pm) our experienced Fabrik sewing assistants will be on hand until 5pm to show you how to edge your linen.

Whether you’re a seasoned print artist or a beginner, this is the perfect opportunity to create a printed fabric artwork that you can keep or gift to a special friend or family member.

About the artist:

Simone has been teaching printmaking at Union St Printmakers and other locations since 2009. She also teaches in schools, hosts masterclasses, mentors in printmaking, and curates exhibitions and print folios. Whether on fabric, paper or any other surface, she is passionate about sharing her love of printmaking.

Workshop details:

The printmaking part of this workshop runs from 1-3:30pm. After that you are welcome to stay on until 5pm to gain fabric edging tips from our Fabrik sewing assistants.
