Prepare for the Festive season by embossing and embellishing a range of gift cards with print artist Sally Caston

Festive Impressions is part of our Handmade Christmas program at Fabrik.

In this festive season workshop you will create your own luxurious Christmas cards, perfect for adding a personal touch to the holiday season. Using a beautiful smooth creamy cotton based card stock paper, you’ll learn how to emboss your designs and then hand embellish them with a range of richly toned metallic inks.

Under the expert guidance of printmaker, designer Sally Caston, you’ll craft your own unique Christmas-themed embossing block, bringing your holiday card creations to life with elegance and style. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a creative beginner, this is the perfect way to embrace the spirit of the season!

About the artist:

Sally is an enthusiastic and experienced tutor specialising in printmaking, illustration and design. Her method of teaching is informal but instructional, aiming to bring out everyone’s creativity in an encouraging and friendly atmosphere. She studied design and illustration at art college and worked for many years as a graphic artist. She now divides her time between teaching and pursuing her own work, with involvement in exhibitions, studio trails and private commissions.

Things you might like to bring along

• Your own unique Christmas designs, already printed out at no bigger than 12x12cm, in black and white
• Gold or silver pens, pencils and thread

• Suitable for participants 18 years. All skill levels welcome
• Wear suitable art friendly clothing
• Bring your own snacks. We provide tea and coffee.
