The Present exhibition is a project by India Flint. It is a gathering of self-portraits for the reopening of Fabrik.
While Fabrik was undergoing a transformation, community near and far were invited to pick up needle and thread to take part in a celebration of Fabrik’s 2024 reopening.
Present, a project conceived by artist India Flint, aims to create an offering of creativity, connection and a coming together in stitches, to celebrate Fabrik’s new beginning.
130 hand stitched self-portraits from all over the world will be installed en masse in the newly redeveloped Fabrik space, bringing the faces of a world-wide textile community together in Lobethal, Australia, for this special re-opening event.
