Lobethal Community Forum: Join the conversation and explore
Get ready for an exciting day at the Lobethal Community Forum, happening Saturday, 19 October 2024, at the vibrant Fabrik Arts + Heritage.
More than just a forum
It's your chance to dive into everything that makes our community thrive. From arts and culture to community and library programs, this event brings together passionate locals, creative minds, and Council staff and members to talk about what matters most to you.
The day kicks off at 12:30 pm with refreshments, followed by an official start at 1:00 pm. But that’s just the beginning. After the formalities, explore the brand-new Fabrik site on a self-guided tour, where history meets creativity at every turn.
Bring the whole family
Keep the children entertained with kids’ activities running until 3:30 pm, and make a stop at the mobile library to check out the books and learn about the fantastic programs our libraries offer.
Drop in and create your own piece of colourful and fantastically decorated wearable art. Using templates of dressmaking cardboard with crafting stash, repurposed and thrifted materials. Participants can try on their creations and wear them home. Hosted by Cheryl Hutchens, a textile artist and needleworker living and working on Kaurna country.
This activity is aimed at children aged 5-12 years old. As you’ll be using scissors and sewing needles, this activity operates in a play + stay format, with children accompanied by a participating adult.
Can’t make it in person?
We’ll be posting a full recap online for everyone to stay connected.
