Make your own Wearable Art with Cheryl Hutchens

Drop in and create your own piece of colourful and fantastically decorated wearable art. Using templates of dressmaking cardboard with crafting stash, repurposed and thrifted materials. Participants can try on their creations and wear them home.

Hosted by Cheryl Hutchens, a textile artist and needleworker living and working on Kaurna country.

This activity is aimed at children aged 5-12 years old. As we’ll be using scissors and sewing needles, this activity operates in a play + stay format, with children accompanied by a participating adult.

Cheryl is one of the exhibiting artists of Fabrik’s current exhibition, All Things Are Connected.

This workshop will take place in the Lower Workspace in Fabrik’s Blanket Building.
