Participants write short poems and are shown how to illustrate their poems and bind them into an art book.

This workshop will provide opportunities to reflect on special memories through prompted poetry and the creation of your own bespoke artist book as a keeping place for mapped memories, especially memories of family and intergenerational connection. By "family", we mean families-of-choice (self-defined and based on meaningful connections between groups of people who care about one another).

Our creative facilitators for this session are experienced writer and poet Amelia Walker and highly regarded visual artist James Parker. Participants will take part in prompted creative writing tasks as well as art making, and book binding activities. This workshop will provide space for participants to honour and pay homage to precious memories.
