Family 'Pop Up' in the Park

Bring a picnic rug and enjoy a wonderful morning for all ages in Federation Park. Learn how to build a structure out of natural materials including storytelling and cultural immersion with Ros Cameron from Woven Arts (Ages 5+).

Accompanied by a pop-up visit from the mobile library and healthy snack samples and ideas with SONDER. The mobile library will have storytime with songs, craft activities and more. Why not try the giant games!

Ages 5+ for structure building, all ages for pop up library.

Event Details:

10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon

  • Includes Mobile Library activities, giant games, Library craft and Storytime
  • Healthy Snacks with SONDER

10:30 AM - 12:00 PM (Structure Building) -Bookings Required

Note: Adult supervision required at all times due to the nearby creek.

Event location (subject to weather): Federation Park (skate park side of the creek)

The Torrens Valley Community Centre

Located at 45 Albert Street, Gumeracha, is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm (closed on public holidays). If you have any enquiries or need clarification about program times, please reach out during staffed hours. Some programs may run outside these hours, so it's always a good idea to check the specific day and time.

Extreme and Catastrophic Fire Danger Ratings

When an Extreme (75+) or Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating is declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges, The Adelaide Hills Council Community Centres will be closed, and all classes and programs will be cancelled without notice. Any monies paid will either be reimbursed, or the course will be rescheduled for a later date.
