This information session is designed to give you - parents, caregivers and community members - the tools and confidence to talk to young people about alcohol and other drugs, vaping and how to stay safe, and how to be a positive influence.

Learn more about:

  • Current trends in alcohol and drug use among young people
  • The hazards of vaping
  • Hosting a party & legal considerations
  • Talking to a young person about alcohol & other drugs
  • Being a positive influence

FREE refreshments and a sausage sizzle will be provided from 5:30pm for a 6:00pm workshop start.

This session is facilitated by Encounter Youth, SA's leading alcohol & other drug education program, on behalf of the Adelaide Hills Local Drug Action Team (a collaborative initiative of the Mount Barker District Council, Adelaide Hills Council & Mount Barker Community Centre) and is funded by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation.
